"We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all" - Breakfast Club at the Moonlight Cinema, Melbourne

This is when Melbourne wins...

It's Wednesday evening, relatively warm and your friend reminds you that weeks ago you said we'd go and see Breakfast Club at the Moonlight Cinema. Cue picnic blankets, sushi, red wine and friends. Pair that with a viewing of the cult classic Breakfast Club from the 80's for only $12 and you're on to a winner.

The Moonlight Cinema, based in the Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne boasts a back drop of the city. Groups of people descend each night throughout summer to see films from their childhood, new releases and this month the cinema has teamed up with the RSPCA to hold a dog friendly evening for people to bring along their pooches!

We settled back and relaxed, taking in the likes of Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez and Judd Nelson, remembering high school and the films underlying messages of friendship and common issues to an unbelievable 80's soundtrack. The Breakfast Club wouldn't have been complete without the entire audience fist pumping to the final credits.

In its last couple of weeks of its programme, not to missed films include Jaws, American Hustle, Her and new release featuring Kit Harrington - Pompeii.

For details of the remainder of the programme head to: http://www.moonlight.com.au/melbourne/program/ for tickets.
